Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has disclosed that she stepped away from acting after receiving a generous offer from an anonymous benefactor who placed her on a weekly salary of ₦1 million.

She made this known during an appearance on the talk show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by Bae U Barbie.

According to Nkechi, she decided to pause her acting career because her film roles were not financially rewarding, with earnings from some projects failing to reach ₦1 million in profit.

She explained that the consistent income from the anonymous source provided her with financial stability, making it unnecessary to continue accepting underpaying acting jobs.

“An anonymous individual started paying me ₦1 million every week because I wasn’t earning enough from movies. That’s the reason I took a break from acting,” she said. “Sometimes I would work on a film and not even make up to a million naira in profit.”
