Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has announced the death of her mother.
Aigbe shared the heartbreaking news on Tuesday via her Instagram page, posting an image of a candlelight on a broken-heart background with the caption: “R.I.P Mum.”
Her announcement sparked an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, fans and friends across the entertainment industry.
Actress Iyabo Ojo wrote, “So sorry, ore. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, commented, “Sorry sis.”
Actress Dayo Amusa said, “My sincere condolences, Agbeke.”
Motilola added, “So sorry, Momma. Accept my condolences.”
Actor Bolanle Ninalowo also shared his sympathy, writing, “My condolences, sis.”
Other celebrities, including Omowunmi Ajiboye and Tayo Faniran, offered prayers for the repose of her mother’s soul.
