The Federal High Court in Abuja has thrown out a lawsuit challenging the suspension of Senator Natasha Uduaghan-Apoti, who represents Kogi Central.
The case, filed by Ovavu Illiyasu and nine others, questioned the six-month suspension imposed on the senator for alleged misconduct. The plaintiffs argued that the decision would deny Kogi Central adequate representation in the Senate and sought her immediate recall.
However, Justice James Omotosho ruled on Friday that the applicants had no legal right to bring the matter before the court. He stressed that the plaintiffs lacked locus standi, making the suit baseless.
The case, registered as FHC/ABJ/CS/654/2025, was therefore dismissed for want of merit.
