The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, has urged Nigerians to support the ADC, saying the party will end banditry and insecurity if it gets the mandate to lead the country.
Aregbesola made the statement in Ilesa, Osun State, after validating his membership of the party. He explained that his decision to join the ADC was based on its principles of discipline, integrity, competence, and responsible leadership.
He encouraged Nigerians to join the party, assuring that its policies are designed to restore peace and good governance. Aregbesola maintained that the ADC has the capacity to address violent crimes, including cases like the recent attack in Kwara where armed men invaded a church, killed worshippers, and kidnapped victims.
The membership validation held in Ward 8, Ifofin, Ilesa East, with leaders of the party present. The Membership Registration and Revalidation Committee announced that new ADC membership cards now carry advanced security features to prevent forgery and to protect party records.
According to the committee, Aregbesola was the first member to be revalidated under the upgraded system, and an online platform will soon be launched to make registration easier for Nigerians.
Aregbesola also spoke on the ADC’s political plans, saying the party is working towards producing Nigeria’s next president and securing leadership positions across the country, including Lagos State. He highlighted a grassroots strategy that requires each committed member to recruit ten others, who must also bring in ten more members, insisting that this approach will deliver nationwide dominance in the 2027 elections.
He called on new members to commit fully to the mission of transforming the country through the ADC’s ideology and structure.
