Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has sparked widespread reactions online following the release of an emotional video in which she accused Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Liberation City Church in Ojodu Berger, Lagos, of destroying her life.
In the video, released on Saturday, the 44-year-old actress claimed she had been in a secret romantic relationship with the cleric since 2017. Speaking tearfully, Ogala alleged that the relationship left her emotionally, physically, and financially broken.
She said she suffered a miscarriage during the relationship, lost her younger brother under mysterious circumstances, and has battled persistent health challenges ever since. According to her, Pastor Okafor convinced her to end her marriage, promising that he would marry her, only for her to later discover that he had become engaged to another woman.
Ogala further alleged that the pastor betrayed her trust by sharing her private nude images and intimate videos with other people, materials she said later surfaced through channels accessed by her lawyer.
Her emotional outburst followed the circulation of a video showing Pastor Okafor proposing to another woman at a celebration attended by close family members and friends. The engagement reportedly took place privately but became public shortly before Ogala released her accusations.
In the viral clip, Ogala questioned why the pastor would abandon her after everything she claimed to have endured for him, including public humiliation and personal loss. She accused him of misrepresenting her miscarriage as an abortion and insisted that he should be held accountable for what she described as the destruction of her life.
Doris Ogala is a familiar figure in Nollywood, known for her appearances in several films as well as her outspoken views on personal and social issues. She has previously been in the public eye over disputes related to her former marriage and conflicts within the entertainment industry.
As of the time of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to the allegations.
