Nollywood actor Yomi Gold has spoken about a health emergency that led to his hospitalisation during a trip to Marrakech, Morocco.

The actor shared his experience in a video posted on his Instagram page on Tuesday, January 6, explaining that he suffered a sudden and severe headache that required urgent medical attention. According to him, the quick response of emergency medical personnel in Marrakech played a crucial role in stabilising his condition.

Describing the incident as a sobering moment, Yomi Gold said the experience reminded him of how delicate life can be and how quickly circumstances can change.

“Life truly exists in seconds. Today showed me how fragile our breath is and how fast everything can turn around. A sudden headache almost took me away, but by God’s mercy and the prompt help of the emergency team here in Marrakech, I am alive, resting, and recovering,” he said.

The actor expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life and appreciated friends, colleagues, and fans who reached out with prayers and messages of concern. He encouraged people not to take their health, time, or relationships for granted, noting that every moment should be valued.

Following the post, several Nollywood colleagues and fans took to social media to wish him well. Actress Iyabo Ojo sent a brief message wishing him a quick recovery, while actor Alesh Sanni also checked in on him. Other entertainers, including Baba Tee, Omowunmi Ajiboye, and iamsexysteel, joined in offering prayers and support.

Yomi Gold is currently recuperating, and fans have continued to express relief and goodwill as he recovers from the health scare.
