Popular Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has reunited with his father, daughter, and baby mama, bringing an end to weeks of public tension over claims that he abandoned his family.
The reconciliation follows widespread criticism that trailed the artiste earlier this year after allegations surfaced online that he distanced himself from his family following his rise to fame and financial success.
In early 2025, Asake’s baby mama, Adijat, accused him of neglecting her and their daughter despite her support during his early struggles. The controversy deepened in March when his father, Fatai Odunsi, a stroke survivor, also publicly accused the singer of abandoning him, sparking intense backlash from fans and public figures.
Amid the outrage, Asake reportedly reached out to his father and promised to take full responsibility for his medical expenses, as well as provide him with a new home.
A photograph that began circulating online on Friday, showing the singer with his father, has since signalled a renewed bond between them. Reports also indicate that Asake has reunited with his daughter and her mother, effectively closing the chapter on the family dispute that played out in the public eye.
The development suggests a return to peace within the singer’s family after months of strained relations and public scrutiny.
