Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has stirred reactions online after sharing an emotional prayer on his Instagram page that left many fans worried about his state of mind.

In the post shared on Sunday via his Instagram story, the controversial artiste pleaded for divine protection, asking God to spare his life for the sake of his family. He wrote that he did not want to die young and hoped his wife and children would not be left to suffer.

The post comes amid ongoing legal challenges involving the singer. Reports indicate that Portable was recently taken into custody by the Ogun State Police Command following allegations made by actress and content creator Ashabi Simple, with whom he has a child.

According to available information, the dispute reportedly arose after a disagreement over Ashabi’s position in Portable’s life. She was said to have requested recognition as a wife rather than a baby mama, a demand the singer allegedly rejected, insisting that only his legally married wife, Bewaji, holds that status.

The disagreement reportedly escalated, with Ashabi accusing Portable of physically assaulting her, seizing mobile phones, and issuing threats against her and her siblings. These claims prompted police intervention, leading to the singer’s arrest.

While in police custody, Portable became the focus of further controversy after a video circulated online showing him allegedly being assaulted. In response, the Ogun State Police Command stated that it had opened an internal investigation into the incident, assuring the public that any officers found to have acted improperly would be sanctioned in line with the law.

The situation has continued to generate widespread discussion on social media, with many expressing concern over the singer’s personal struggles and the legal issues surrounding him.
