The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially approved 747 Computer Based Test (CBT) Centres for the upcoming 2024 UTME exercise set to commence on Monday. This confirmation was communicated through a Bulletin released in Abuja by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Board’s Public Communication Advisor.Initially shortlisting 907 CBT centres for accreditation, the board underwent revalidation and integrity tests, resulting in the certification of 747 centres for the 2024 UTME exercise.A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reporter monitoring registration at various CBT centres in the FCT and its surroundings observed a significant turnout of candidates. Some candidates shared their experiences, with varying opinions on the registration process. At the Future Gate CBT centre in One-Man village, candidate Chinaza Onuegbu expressed concern about being directed to another centre without a clear reason. After revisiting Future Gate, he was instructed to return the next day with his JAMB profile code, which he had not obtained.Similarly, at the Global Learning Institute opposite the Federal Ministry of Finance, candidate Pelumi Rotimi reported a smooth registration process, completing it within a few minutes. Rotimi expressed determination to study hard for a good grade leading to admission into her chosen university. For the 2024 UTME registration, candidates must possess the following documents: National Identification Number (NIN) and Personal information, O’level results, choice of institution and course, biometric verification, and the JAMB registration fee.
