An old interview of 20-year-old Favour Agbro, the Delta woman whose death has sparked public outrage, has resurfaced online, revealing her desire to remain a virgin until marriage.
The interview, originally conducted in Asaba by content creator Itz Patorchizzy, gained renewed attention after reports emerged that Favour allegedly died by suicide following an alleged rape.
In the interview, Favour said she did not have a boyfriend and disclosed that she had never been in a sexual relationship.
When asked if she was a virgin, she answered “Yes,” explaining that although she hoped to have a boyfriend, she wanted someone willing to wait until marriage before having sex.
She also affirmed her intention to preserve her virginity until marriage.
The resurfaced video has triggered widespread emotional reactions on social media, with many expressing sorrow over the contrast between her aspirations and the tragic circumstances surrounding her death.
The renewed attention follows the arrest of Delta-based content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as “Odogwu of Asaba,” over allegations that he raped the young woman.
According to the Delta State Police Command, Favour travelled to Asaba on June 1, 2026, after Ogbonna allegedly invited her with a promise to train her in content creation.
Police allege that after arriving in Asaba, she was taken to a hotel where she was sexually assaulted and physically abused before returning home traumatised.
Investigators said she later recorded a video recounting her ordeal before ingesting a poisonous substance. Despite medical efforts, she died.
The suspect has been arrested and is currently under investigation. Police have assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing and that anyone found culpable will face justice.
