In a devastating turn of events, the Niger State Police Command has confirmed the untimely demise of Idris Ahmadu, a resident of Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government. Drivetvnews gathered the information that The suspect in question,His recently wedded wife, Aisha Aliyu.According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the incident transpired in the early hours of Monday. Aisha Aliyu allegedly perpetrated the fatal stabbing of her husband before vanishing from the scene, leaving behind a scene of horror.Abiodun’s statement shed light on the grim details: “Today, 12/02/2024 (Monday), at about 1200hrs, information was received that in the early hours, one Idris Ahmadu of Nasarawa village, via Lapai was stabbed to death by his wife, Aisha Aliyu, 19/20yrs of the same address.”Efforts to track down the suspect are underway, with authorities intensifying their search. The case remains under active investigation.Prior to the tragedy, the couple, who exchanged vows on December 31, 2023, reportedly engaged in a minor disagreement on Sunday evening. Despite appearing to resolve their differences, the night took a harrowing turn when Idris’s screams pierced the silence.Neighbors rushed to the scene only to discover Idris lying in a pool of blood, with Aisha nowhere to be found. Reports suggest that familial pressure may have influenced Aisha’s decision to proceed with the marriage, despite her purported reservations.As the community grapples with the shock and grief of losing a young life to domestic violence, authorities continue their efforts to bring justice to the victim and his loved ones.
