The Lagos State Police Command arrested a 10-year-old boy accused of strangling his 10-year-old peer to death during a soccer match. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson, affirmed the arrest to journalists on Sunday, stating that the Ejigbo Police Division received the report on Friday evening at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Concerning the police report, the father asserted that the 10-year-old suspect gripped his son’s neck, purportedly strangling him until he succumbed.

Subsequently, the body was moved to the mortuary for further investigation, while the suspect remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
