An Iveco truck loaded with petrol exploded on Saturday along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
According to Drivetvnews, the incident occurred at approximately 6:57 a.m. around Ago Igbala, Ibafo area axis of the highway. The crash resulted in a traffic backlog between the scene and Arepo on the outward Lagos section of the expressway.
Confirming the incident, Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Command, attributed the crash to reckless driving and loss of control by the tanker driver. She noted that the accident involved five male adults and fortunately, no casualties or injuries were recorded.
