Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, has addressed the allegations made by Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, the mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad. The allegations concern the nature of Primeboy’s relationship with Mohbad before his passing.
In a recent interview, Adeyemo-Aloba claimed that Primeboy had expressed dissatisfaction over Mohbad’s alleged disregard for him after gaining fame, suggesting that tensions existed between the two.
Responding through his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, Primeboy issued a statement on Saturday refuting these claims.
The lawyer emphasized that the accusations from Mohbad’s mother were baseless and did not accurately reflect Primeboy’s relationship with the deceased artist.
The statement said, “In the interview, you claimed that our client frequently had disputes with the late Mohbad and repeatedly voiced grievances about being neglected since Mohbad achieved stardom. You further alleged that our client was advised to flee following Mohbad’s death to avoid suspicion.”
Primeboy described these claims as defamatory, asserting that they were made with harmful intent.
He also mentioned that the allegations had damaged the support and admiration he received from his fans.
The statement continued, “Your actions appear to be intentional, aiming to damage our client’s reputation, who is an emerging artist in the music industry. These allegations have significantly harmed the goodwill and support that our client previously enjoyed from his fans and supporters worldwide.”
