Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman (VDM), has addressed the ongoing dispute between Afrobeats star Burna Boy and controversial rapper Speed Darlington, a conflict that has sparked intense online reactions.
Speed Darlington, currently in police custody following his rearrest, has faced widespread backlash for his repeated verbal attacks on Burna Boy and his mother. The situation escalated after Darlington made further inflammatory statements, which many considered to have crossed the line.
In a video shared on December 7, VDM disclosed Burna Boy’s decision to shift his approach to the matter. Rather than pursuing criminal charges, the music icon has opted to file a civil lawsuit.
