Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, a key figure in the Yoruba self-determination movement, has extended heartfelt New Year greetings to Yoruba people both within Nigeria and across the globe.

In a message shared through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, Igboho expressed his hopes for a prosperous and joyful year for all Yoruba sons and daughters. He used the opportunity to reiterate the unyielding commitment to the quest for Yoruba Nation, also referred to as Odua Nation, emphasizing that the pursuit of self-determination is both firm and non-negotiable.

Igboho called for collective resolve, urging all Yoruba people to unite and prepare for peaceful rallies and protests aimed at advancing the push for independence.

“Our message is simple: there is no retreat. This is the time for unity, courage, and unwavering focus. We are fully committed to our cause, and I encourage all Yoruba people to be ready for the journey ahead,” Igboho stated.

He further reassured his supporters that peaceful demonstrations would remain central to the movement’s strategy. “Do not be afraid,” he said. “This movement represents the change we all desire. Together, we will create the future we envision.”

The activist emphasized the importance of unity and vigilance, urging Yoruba people to stay proactive and organized. “This is not the time to hesitate. We must stand together, plan strategically, and move forward as one. While challenges may lie ahead, our goal is clear, and success is within reach,” he added.

In closing, Igboho expressed optimism about the realization of a sovereign Yoruba Nation, appreciating the contributions and sacrifices made by Yoruba people worldwide.

“May this New Year bring peace, happiness, and fulfillment to every Yoruba individual around the world,” he said. “Your commitment to the cause of self-determination and nationhood is deeply appreciated. As we step into this new season, we are closer than ever to achieving our collective dream.”
