Nigerian artist Zlatan Ibile, originally named Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, recently shared his final conversation with his late friend and colleague, Oladips, who tragically passed away at the age of 28. Oladips’ untimely death occurred on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, prompting varied reactions within the entertainment industry and among fans who extended their condolences to the music community and the bereaved family.

In response to this heartbreaking loss, Zlatan Ibile took to his Instagram page on Wednesday, revealing his last exchange with the deceased. He shared a throwback photo of himself alongside Oladips, expressing deep emotions over the news and mentioning that the late rapper had been facing health challenges.

With heartfelt words accompanying the shared photo, Zlatan Ibile expressed his grief, stating, “Words fail me! Cried all night and prayed to God that I hear good news this morning. Here I am. And I’m never going to see my friend again.”

Earlier, a distressing video emerged online, displaying the lifeless body of Oladipupo Oladimeji, also known as Oladips. The video, uploaded on Instagram on Tuesday, showed Rasheed, a member of the rapper’s team, along with two others, grieving over the loss of the ‘Chache’ crooner.

Oladips gained recognition after rapper Reminisce signed him to LRR/EDGE Records, marking his presence in the music industry before his unfortunate passing on Tuesday, November 14.
