Nollywood mourns as Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, known as Vic Matt, filmmaker and manager of BBNaija housemate Bright Morgan, dies after abduction in Enugu.
The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning following the death of Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, popularly known as Vic Matt. He was a renowned executive producer, filmmaker, and manager to Bright Morgan, a contestant in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 10.
Reports indicate that Matt was abducted last Friday near Ntachi Osa, Enugu State, and was later killed by his captors.
Fellow filmmaker Ben Cassie confirmed the tragic news via Instagram, describing Matt as a man of integrity and immense creativity who stood out in Nollywood.
“In an industry filled with deceit, you were one of the few who genuinely wished others well. You always offered encouragement, even in silence. It’s heartbreaking to know that someone so calm, intelligent, and passionate about filmmaking met such a cruel end,” Cassie wrote.
She further described his death as “heart-wrenching,” adding, “We can all live and prosper. Goodnight, Vic.”
As of press time, Bright Morgan has not yet been informed of his manager’s passing.
