Uba Sani has pledged that all abducted worshippers from Kurmin Wali community in Kajuru Local Government Area will be safely rescued, stressing that every human life remains a priority under his administration.
The governor made the assurance during a condolence visit to the community on Wednesday, following the abduction of more than 100 worshippers during a recent attack.
Sani described the incident as unfortunate and said the state government was working closely with security agencies—including the military, police, Department of State Services, and the Office of the National Security Adviser—to secure the release of the victims.
He also noted that some residents sustained injuries during the incident and promised that the state government would provide medical and other necessary support for affected individuals.
According to the governor, the exact number of abducted persons is still unclear, but he emphasized that even the abduction of a single person is unacceptable. He reiterated the government’s responsibility to protect lives and property across the state, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background.
Sani further thanked the Kurmin Wali community for their trust and cooperation, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and unity in Kaduna State.
