Nigerian Singer Primeboy Denies Ignoring Police Invitation in MohBad’s Death Case

Nigerian singer Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has refuted claims made by the Lagos Police Command that he failed to respond to their invitation regarding the death of his friend, MohBad. Primeboy was declared wanted by the police, and a one-million-naira bounty was placed on him due to his alleged refusal to cooperate.

However, Primeboy voluntarily turned himself in for investigation less than 24 hours after being declared wanted and was taken into police custody. Speaking to TVC on Thursday, he denied ever receiving any invitation from the police, stating that he had planned to visit the police station himself due to false accusations circulating on social media.

He expressed shock over the accusations and the bounty placed on him, emphasizing that he had no knowledge of MohBad’s death. Primeboy described MohBad as his childhood friend, sharing how he had taken care of him when he faced difficulties with his stepmother in the past. He revealed that they were together until Sunday when they separated after a show, with plans to celebrate Primeboy’s brother’s birthday the following day.
