The Nigeria Police have summoned Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, regarding an alleged failure to return a rented wig within the stipulated rental period, according to reports.
The issue surfaced after a hair vendor accused Phyna of not returning a wig she had allegedly rented within the agreed-upon timeframe. Initially refuting these accusations, Phyna recently posted a video on her social media admitting to renting the wig but claimed she had returned it after being called out. However, she asserted that the hair vendor rejected the returned wig.
Explaining her decision to hold onto the wig, Phyna stated that the damage caused by the hair vendor outweighed the value of the wig.
Phyna recounted that she discovered police officers and the hair vendor at her home when she was absent, with a letter from the police indicating an invitation for her. The letter, bearing her name and address, originated from the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu, an area unfamiliar to her.
Expressing her confusion, Phyna mentioned, “I received a call from my younger sister stating that there were visitors at my house – two policemen, the hairstylist, and an unknown woman. They left behind a letter stating, ‘This is the Nigeria Police. Invitation to the police.’ It included my name and address. The letter continued, ‘From the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu.’ I’m unaware of Ogudu’s location, but I intend to find out.”
