The JCI President and daughter of Reverend Lekan Babatunde, Mrs. Ibukunoluwa Otesile, who was abducted last week in Ibadan, has been released.
Otesile, who also serves as the Deputy Coordinator of the Child Protection Network (CPN) in Oyo State, was kidnapped outside her father’s home in the General Gas area of Ibadan.
Security sources in the state confirmed her release on Wednesday night. The State Coordinator of the Child Protection Network, Dr. Rosemary Osogbo, also confirmed that Otesile has safely reunited with her family.
A civil society group shared a statement thanking God for her safe return and appealed to the public to respect the family’s privacy.
According to the statement, the family will not be receiving visitors for now in order to allow her time to recover.
