Popular Nigerian socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has openly stated that he plans to work against Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general election.

He made the declaration during a conversation with followers on Instagram after a user asked him directly if he would be opposing Obi in the next election.

The follower wrote, “So in simple terms, you are working against Obi in the upcoming presidential election. lol.”

In response, Cubana Chief Priest confirmed the claim, explaining that he previously supported Obi during the 2023 presidential election despite being a special adviser to a governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He replied, “Yes oh. Hope say no be crime, because I worked for Obi last election even as special adviser to an APC governor.”

His comment quickly generated mixed reactions online, with some users bringing up his past issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

However, Cubana Chief Priest dismissed the concern, stating that visiting the EFCC was not unusual in Nigeria.

He wrote, “If you never go EFCC for Naija, you never make am.”

The discussion later shifted to political expectations in the South-East and issues relating to Biafra. Cubana Chief Priest advised individuals to support any candidate of their choice but questioned what progress had been achieved in the region.

He said, “Go and support who you want to support. As you like Biafra, how many developments you don do for South-East?”

His remarks have continued to spark debate online as political discussions ahead of the 2027 elections gradually intensify.
