A well-known Nigerian biker and photographer, Orowole Kolapoz, popularly called Kola Onifoto, has died after being involved in a lone motorcycle accident in Lagos.

The 32-year-old travel enthusiast and brand influencer was said to have crashed on Sunday during what he described as his first solo motorcycle journey outside Lagos.

Earlier that day, he had announced on his Facebook page that he was riding to Akure. In his post, he praised individuals who had travelled across Nigeria, Africa, and other parts of the world on motorcycles, expressing admiration for their courage and experience.

Following the accident, friends revealed online that he was first taken to the Federal Road Safety Corps emergency unit at 7UP, Ojota. He was later transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Idi-Araba, where supporters continued to express hope and prayers for his recovery on social media.

Sadly, he passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 2, due to injuries sustained in the crash.

News of his death triggered widespread grief among friends, colleagues, and followers. Many took to social media to express shock and sadness, describing him as passionate, supportive, and inspiring.

In January, Kolapoz had celebrated fulfilling his dream of becoming a biker, sharing photos of himself with his new motorcycle.

As of the time of filing this report, details about the exact cause of the accident remain unclear. Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps for official comments were unsuccessful.

His death has left many mourning the loss of a vibrant young creative who was admired for his adventurous spirit and engaging online presence.
