Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a strong warning to convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, over repeated references to her children in his public statements.
In a message shared on Instagram, Ojo cautioned him to stop involving her children in his narrative, stating that she would not hesitate to pursue legal action if he continues to mention them.
She explained that her children were always properly cared for while growing up, either by nannies or her late mother, and were never left unattended. She also noted that her former business location in Ilu-Peju, Lagos, had several staff members, making it unlikely that she would leave her children in unsafe situations.
While acknowledging his right to share his own side of events, Ojo insisted that her children must not be used to gain public sympathy. She stressed that the case involving a minor remains a serious issue, adding that the court’s verdict was based on evidence and should be respected.
Her response follows comments made by Baba Ijesha during recent interviews, where he spoke about his past relationship with Ojo and claimed she had entrusted her children to his care at different times. He expressed disappointment over their current relationship, saying he never intended harm and felt misunderstood.
He also recounted an incident at Ojo’s shop where he alleged he supervised her children while she attended to other matters.
Reacting to this, Ojo maintained that her children should not be drawn into the controversy, reiterating her readiness to take legal steps if necessary.
