Nigerian singer Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has announced the birth of his newborn son with his wife, Omobewaji Ewatomi.
The artiste shared the news on social media shortly after his loss to Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing match held at the Balmoral Hall Federal Palace Hotel.
Reacting to both events, Portable expressed joy over the arrival of his child, stating that the birth meant more to him than any boxing title. He noted that while titles can be won or replaced, the value of a child is far greater.
The singer also hinted at dissatisfaction with the outcome of the fight, suggesting that the result was not entirely fair.
His wife confirmed the delivery in a brief message of gratitude and revealed that the baby has been named Jamal Iremide. She described the child as a blessing and celebrated his safe arrival.
Portable further explained that the timing of the birth coincided with his time in the ring, noting that while he was competing, his wife was in labour.
The development adds another member to the singer’s growing family, as he continues to make headlines both for his music career and personal life.
