The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has said the party has remained out of power in the state for too long, pledging to work towards reclaiming the government in the 2027 elections.
Drivetvnews gathered that Alli made the statement during the inauguration of the Oyo State chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan.
The event attracted hundreds of APC leaders and supporters.
The senator urged party members to prioritise the APC’s interests and intensify efforts to ensure the party forms the next government in the state in 2027.
He also appealed to eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them to participate in the elections.
Alli expressed confidence that the party would work towards securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, while also seeking victories in the National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections.
He reiterated the party’s determination to regain control of Oyo State after years outside the state government.
