The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), a prominent traditional ruler, recently opened up about his personal style preferences. In a press interaction held in Lagos, he shared insights into his fashion choices, revealing that he chooses not to wear wristwatches. His reasoning stems from a belief that time is in the hands of God, emphasizing that constantly checking the time distracts from spiritual focus. Oba Ogunwusi expressed a deep-seated connection to his spirituality through this choice.

Additionally, the monarch disclosed his lifelong passion for shoemaking, a skill he acquired in childhood and continues to practice actively. He proudly stated, “I design all my shoes till date,” underscoring his hands-on involvement in crafting his footwear.

Meanwhile, on a personal note, the Ooni marked his daughter Princess Adeola’s 30th birthday with a heartfelt message on social media. Expressing gratitude for her life journey thus far, he fondly recalled guiding her through different stages of life, from childhood lessons to fostering independence in her twenties. Now, at thirty, he playfully nudged her towards finding a life partner, affectionately urging her, “Go and bring husband to daddy o…”

From the throne of Oduduwa, Oba Ogunwusi concluded his message with blessings for her continued success and divine guidance in all her endeavors.
