A popular Ondo State businessman and owner of Esther Estate, Akinbolusere Kayode Tolufe, has reportedly died by suicide after releasing an emotional video in which he announced that he was handing over all his properties to his wife and three children.
In the video, Kayode expressed frustration over challenges in his marriage and accepted responsibility for the problems affecting his family.
He explained that he was making the recording voluntarily and on behalf of himself and his family while declaring his decision to transfer his properties to his wife, Akinbolusere Adenike Esther.
The businessman spoke positively about his wife, describing her as supportive and someone who had stood by him from the beginning of their relationship.
He reportedly blamed himself for the difficulties in their marriage, acknowledging that his wife had consistently supported him despite the challenges they faced.
Speaking in the video, he said:
“I was the one who frightened her. I caused all the problems happening in our home. She gave birth to three children for me and never caused any trouble. Whatever I wanted, she supported me. However, I forgot how everything started and ended up creating these problems.”
He further stated that he wanted everyone to know that he was leaving all his properties to his wife.
According to him, the decision covered everything he had worked hard to acquire from his youthful days.
He also recalled that his wife stayed with him when he had nothing and had remained supportive throughout their journey together.
“She stood by me when I had nothing. From the beginning, she has always supported me and never caused problems in our lives. I am giving all my properties to my wife and my three children,” he said.
Kayode also disclosed that he had left home for work earlier that morning, leaving his wife and workers with everything they needed before later expressing frustration over his personal circumstances.
