The organizers of the #EndBadGovernance protests have announced that they will continue their demonstrations until President Bola Tinubu addresses their demands. They stated that the protest, which began on Thursday, August 1, will be ended as soon as the President responds to their requests.
Damilare Adenola, the Director of Mobilisation for the Take It Back Movement, shared this information with journalists in Abuja. He emphasized that the ongoing oppression in the country has persisted for too long and that the protest is a measure to address and halt it.
Adenola criticized the various court orders that confine protesters to specific areas, describing them as unjust. He declared, “Our presence here today is a declaration that we have endured oppression for too long. Today, we have taken a stand. We are telling President Bola Tinubu that unless he meets our demands, we will remain on the streets. We expect to see the President on the street, as he was during the protest.”
Ayoola Babalola, another leader of the Take It Back Movement, added that the protesters would not be deterred by the security personnel stationed around Moshood Abiola Stadium, labeling their presence as a national embarrassment.
