The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its air operations under Operation Hadin Kai have eliminated numerous terrorists and destroyed their base in Borno State.
This was disclosed in Abuja on Thursday through a statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF.
According to the statement, the coordinated strikes took place on Wednesday at about 10:50 a.m. in Bula Madibale, within the Gezuwa general area of Borno.
Ejodame explained that intelligence reports and surveillance detected unusual movements at the site, where around 45 insurgents were seen gathering, some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from multiple directions.
He added that reconnaissance also showed two terrorist flags hoisted at the location, indicating its use as a stronghold and rallying point.
“Based on this credible intelligence, the Air Component carried out precision strikes that killed several terrorists and destroyed the flagged structure along with other hostile assets,” Ejodame said.
He further noted that the strikes disrupted the insurgents’ ability to regroup, reinforce, or launch fresh attacks on nearby communities in the North-East.
Ejodame reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to restoring peace and stability in the region.
