Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, visited the Akeredolu family residence in Ibadan to offer her heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, the widow of the late Ondo State Governor.During her visit, Senator Tinubu acknowledged the late governor’s courageous battle for life, highlighting the inevitability of human existence being subject to divine will.”He did his best. What truly matters is God being there for you when you need Him,” Senator Tinubu conveyed these words of solace, urging the grieving family to find strength and solace in their faith during this challenging period. Her prayers centered on seeking divine grace and support for the bereaved family to navigate through their loss.In response, Professor Oluwole Ayodeji Akeredolu, the late governor’s brother, expressed the family’s deep sorrow over the governor’s untimely passing. Despite the pain, he conveyed gratitude for Senator Tinubu and her accompanying delegation, acknowledging their visit as a meaningful gesture of honor and support. The dignified delegation, which included Hajia Nana Shettima (the Vice President’s wife), spouses of National Assembly members, as well as governors’ wives from Lagos and Ogun states, along with the wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, collectively demonstrated solidarity and respect during this somber period for the Akeredolu family.
