Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has alleged that soldiers are attempting to prevent him from entering Osun State ahead of the governorship election.
Davido made the claim in a post on his official X account on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The singer said he had received information that soldiers were planning to block his entry into the state, insisting that he would not allow the alleged move to stop him.
He maintained that every Nigerian has the constitutional right to move freely within the country.
The allegation comes as security agencies enforce movement restrictions across Osun State as part of measures to ensure a peaceful conduct of the governorship election.
Davido has been openly supporting his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking another term in office under the Accord Party.
