The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a pastor from the Christ Liberty Evangelism Church, Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, along with three others, for possessing a human skull in the Saje Area of Abeokuta. The arrests, which occurred early Saturday morning, involved Oluwaseyi, 30-year-old Ibrahim Agbowewe, 40-year-old Suleiman Ogunbunmi, and 57-year-old Gafari Akinsanya.
According to sources, the suspects were nabbed based on a tip-off from vigilant members of the public who noticed their suspicious activities. Acting on this information, the police conducted a raid and arrested the individuals, who confessed to their intent of using the skull for rituals. Among the items recovered were a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car, and a ram.
Confirming the arrests, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, stated that the four suspects had admitted to planning to use the human head for blessings and money rituals. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details about the incident.
In a separate incident, Prophet Theophilus Ayodeji Obayan, the founder of Divine Prophetic Solutions Prayers Ministry, sought help after his estranged wife, Prophetess Chibuzor Lilian Obayan, remarried a church worker from his ministry. Obayan has taken his estranged wife to a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court, seeking the dissolution of their 23-year marriage and to regain paternity rights over their four children. He revealed that Lilian had changed the children’s surname to her new husband’s name, Prince Abua Obi.
