The widowed wife of the late Nigerian singer Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Omawunmi, has finally broken her silence. She has vowed to clear her name amidst a series of allegations leveled against her. Omawunmi was implicated in the controversial circumstances surrounding her husband’s death, with discussions about the paternity of their child being questioned by fans of the deceased Afrobeat singer.

Joseph Aloba, the late singer’s father, insisted on a DNA test for Liam, the child in question, deeming it “non-negotiable” to establish his true lineage.

In an exclusive conversation with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Omawunmi revealed that she had chosen to remain silent until the coroner inquest scheduled for November 7. She expressed her belief that the Nigerian government is working towards justice for her husband. Omawunmi emphasized her intention to share her side of the story in a forthcoming interview, open to the world. She also confirmed that a DNA test would be conducted to dispel any doubts regarding her son’s paternity.
