Dada Taiwo, a 35-year-old, has been detained by the Ogun State Police Command following an incident in which he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend’s brother, Damilola Momoh, in the neck with a bottle. The matter took place in the Agbado area of Ogun State.

The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over a phone that Damilola, aged 34, had borrowed. According to Omolola Odutola, the police spokesperson, the incident was reported to the Agbado Division by Olaife Momoh, Taiwo’s girlfriend.

Odutola confirmed that Damilola was immediately taken to Overcomer Hospital in Agbado for medical attention, and an investigation is currently underway. “On July 21, around 2 a.m., Olaife Momoh of 11 Sowemimo Street, Akera, Agbado, Ogun State, reported that her boyfriend, Dada Taiwo of 34 Crossing Road, Agbado, aged 35, had a dispute with her elder brother, Damilola Momoh, aged 34, over a phone her brother had borrowed. During the altercation, Taiwo used a bottle to stab Damilola in the neck, resulting in serious injuries and significant bleeding.”

Odutola also emphasized the importance of managing anger and encouraged individuals to report such incidents to the nearest police station rather than resorting to violence.
