Shola Ogudu, the first mother of award-winning artist Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, recently discussed her experience of pregnancy and giving birth to her son, Boluwatife.

In a conversation with Maria Chike on the Mums Next Door podcast, Shola, who is a single mother, revealed that she was unaware of her pregnancy until she was five months along. She described having no symptoms of pregnancy until her belly started to show at that stage.

Shola shared that her pregnancy was relatively easy and free of complications, except for the need to avoid using body spray and perfume during that time. Despite her condition, she was able to continue attending university in the Benin Republic until she was eight months and two weeks pregnant. She maintained her academic routine, traveling back and forth weekly until she completed her final exams. She noted that the only significant change during this period was the visible growth of her belly, but she experienced no other symptoms.
