Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared personal details about her life, disclosing that she was raped five times and clarifying that she has never met British-Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

The 47-year-old actress made these revelations during an interview with Biola Bayo on her talk show, Talk to B. The episode, released on January 3, 2025, highlighted her strong opposition to sexual violence and her frustration with those who excuse such behavior.

“I was raped five times in my life,” she revealed. “I’ve come to realize that there are many rape apologists. It doesn’t matter who it is—even if it were my son, I would confront him without hesitation.”

Iyabo also addressed rumors linking her to the controversial artist Naira Marley, categorically denying any personal connection. “I have never met Naira Marley in my entire life,” she stated firmly, putting the speculation to rest.

The actress, who is a mother of two, further reflected on her difficult childhood, particularly her father’s struggles with addiction. “My dad battled both alcohol and drug addiction, which took a toll on him at a young age. He passed away at 49,” she shared.

Raised in Lagos, Iyabo recounted growing up with her grandmother due to being estranged from her parents. “I lived with my grandmother, who was half Delta and half Igbo. I think I was about seven years old before I finally met my mother,” she recalled.
