A woman identified as Amarachi Promise Esomonu has called for justice after losing her three children in a tragic accident that occurred in the Ogbunabali area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to reports, a man was allegedly teaching his girlfriend how to drive when the woman behind the wheel lost control and crashed into the family’s residence, killing the three children.
A resident of the area said the incident happened on May 15 and claimed the victims were aged 10, four and three years old.
The source explained that the children were inside the house when the vehicle rammed into the building during the driving lesson.
In a viral video circulating online, the grieving mother was seen crying uncontrollably as she demanded justice for her children. She lamented that every morning her alarm still rings to prepare the children for school, but they are no longer alive.
She also accused those involved of remaining silent after the incident.
The Rivers State Police Command confirmed the tragedy and announced that an investigation had begun. Police spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, sympathised with the bereaved family and assured them that justice would be served.
The command stated that investigators were working to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the accident and promised that anyone found responsible would face the law.
