Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against assuming his second-term bid in 2027 is guaranteed.
According to a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric said Tinubu’s re-election prospects are uncertain and warned that those around the president may be misleading him, preventing him from recognizing potential challenges ahead.
Primate Ayodele highlighted that issues such as insecurity and the economy require divine guidance. He warned that if Tinubu continues to be misled, he might only realize the extent of the problems after the election, which could be too late.
He said, “Tinubu’s second term is not certain. The country’s security situation demands divine intervention, and the economy remains weak. Those surrounding him are deceiving him, and while they praise him, they are secretly working against him. The president risks facing complications if he does not see the truth in time.”
The cleric also noted that the northern and southeastern regions of Nigeria could pose significant political challenges for Tinubu, adding that it is unclear whether solutions are currently in place.
Primate Ayodele further urged Nigerians to seek divine guidance to ensure a peaceful and successful 2027 election. He stressed that while Tinubu has good intentions for the country, he has been constrained by negative influences around him.
“Nigeria needs divine intervention to conduct a successful election. Tinubu means well, but he is unable to see far because of the deceptive elements surrounding him,” the cleric said.
