The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested three persons living with disabilities for alleged involvement in drug trafficking operations across Anambra and Kwara states.

According to a statement issued by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the suspects include 60-year-old Romanus Nwabara, who was arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State, with 250 grams of skunk packaged for retail distribution.

Another suspect, 25-year-old Amos Kenneth, was apprehended in Ogbunike, Anambra State, after operatives reportedly recovered Tramadol, Diazepam, Exol-5, and skunk from him.

In Kwara State, NDLEA officers intercepted a commercial vehicle along the Bode Saadu route and arrested Usman Salisu after allegedly discovering 6.3 kilograms of skunk hidden inside a school bag.

The agency also uncovered a suspected drug warehouse in Lekki, Lagos, where operatives recovered over 2,300 kilograms of Loud cannabis valued at more than ₦5.8 billion. Two buses and packaging materials were also seized during the operation.

In separate raids, NDLEA operatives arrested additional suspects in Nasarawa, Kogi, and Lagos states, recovering large quantities of skunk and shutting down a skuchies production site in Ijora Badia, Lagos.

NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), praised officers involved in the operations and encouraged continued efforts in combating drug trafficking and substance abuse nationwide.
