The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the birth of twin princes with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
Drivetvnews gathered that the monarch shared the news through a post on his official Facebook page, expressing gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the children.
According to the statement, both the mother and the newborn princes are in good health.
The Ooni described the birth as a joyful moment for the entire House of Oduduwa and extended congratulations to Olori Mariam on the arrival of the twins.
The royal announcement has attracted congratulatory messages from supporters, traditional institutions, and well-wishers across the country.
The monarch’s marriage to Olori Mariam came after the end of his union with former queen, Olori Naomi. Following the separation, the Ooni married several queens within a short period in 2022.
During his 48th birthday celebration and seventh coronation anniversary, the monarch explained that his decision to marry multiple wives was connected to the cultural and traditional responsibilities attached to the throne of Ile-Ife.
