The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to set a 90-day deadline for security chiefs to eliminate terrorist activities across Nigeria or step down from their positions.

Speaking in a video shared on social media, Adeboye expressed concern over the persistent security challenges facing the country and stressed the need for urgent and decisive action.

According to him, security leaders should be held accountable for delivering results in the fight against terrorism. He suggested that the government should direct security agencies to end terrorist operations within three months or face resignation if they fail to achieve the objective.

The cleric also urged authorities to focus not only on terrorists but on individuals and groups providing financial and logistical support for their activities. He maintained that sponsors of terrorism should be identified and dealt with regardless of their status or influence.

Adeboye recalled making a similar recommendation to a former Nigerian president, noting that although the suggestion was considered, the necessary follow-through was not implemented after the deadline expired.

He stated that stronger political commitment and strict enforcement of security directives are essential if the country is to overcome insecurity.

His comments come at a time when concerns are growing over terrorist attacks, banditry, kidnappings, and other security threats affecting several parts of Nigeria. Many citizens and stakeholders have continued to call for more effective measures to protect lives and restore public confidence.
