Suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgents launched an attack on Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday evening, setting two government-owned schools on fire and causing residents to flee for safety.
According to reports, the attackers stormed the community around 7 p.m., targeting Kautikari Primary School and Government Day Secondary School. Both institutions were reportedly engulfed in flames during the assault.

Authorities had yet to release an official statement on the incident, while investigations continued to determine the impact of the attack on the community and its residents.
