The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised President Bola Tinubu for what it described as decisive actions aimed at strengthening democracy and promoting national development.
In a Democracy Day message issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, the APC said the annual celebration serves as a reminder of Nigeria’s democratic progress, the sacrifices of pro-democracy advocates, and the resilience of the nation’s institutions.
The party applauded the Tinubu administration for pursuing reforms designed to address longstanding economic and governance challenges. According to the statement, although some of the policies may bring short-term difficulties, they are intended to lay the foundation for sustainable growth, economic stability, job creation, and increased investment.
The APC further stated that the president’s leadership has renewed optimism among many Nigerians and strengthened confidence in the country’s future, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political differences.
Calling for greater public participation in governance, the party urged Nigerians, particularly residents of Abia State, to support government initiatives and remain committed to democratic principles, national unity, peace, and development.
The Abia APC also reaffirmed its dedication to promoting transparency, accountability, good governance, and improved welfare for citizens, while pledging to ensure that the benefits of democracy reach communities across the state and the country.
