President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and intelligence agencies to intensify operations and apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack that claimed about 30 lives in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Drivetvnews gathered that the attack occurred in the early hours of Monday in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward, where gunmen reportedly killed men, women and children before setting homes ablaze.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President condemned the incident as a cowardly and unprovoked act of terrorism against innocent civilians.
Tinubu said those attempting to undermine the relative peace and security achieved in Kaduna State would be brought to justice, stressing that the perpetrators would not escape punishment.
He extended condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government and residents affected by the tragedy, assuring them of the Federal Government’s support during the difficult period.
The President also directed security agencies to strengthen operations across the affected communities, restore normalcy and dismantle criminal networks threatening peace in the region.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving national security, Tinubu said the government would continue investing in security infrastructure, equipping personnel and enhancing intelligence operations to combat violent crimes across the country.
He further urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible intelligence that could help prevent future attacks and support ongoing security efforts.
