Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken a swipe at the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, over his opposition to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s directive banning the union’s operations in Osun State.
Drivetvnews gathered that the controversy follows Governor Adeleke’s decision to suspend NURTW activities across the state ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election. The governor said the move was aimed at restoring order in motor parks and ending the collection of illegal levies.
MC Oluomo, however, rejected the directive, insisting that the Osun State Government lacks the authority to interfere with the union’s operations.
Reacting on social media, Davido mocked the NURTW leader’s public comments, writing on X that, “MC Oluomo wey no fit compose sentence dey talk… Kudosuuuu.”
The post generated widespread reactions, with some social media users questioning the singer’s remarks and sparking debates about his own educational background.
Davido later returned to the issue through his Instagram Story, where he suggested that MC Oluomo was allegedly involved in political activities in Osun State against Governor Adeleke’s administration.
Tagging the union leader directly, Davido wrote: “@kingmcoluomo dem say u dey game. I doubt lol. Look ur mirror.”
Davido has been actively involved in his uncle’s political campaign and was appointed the Youth Campaign Leader for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid in April 2026.
