The Lagos State Police Command has captured the most notorious traffic robber operating in the Ijora Badia area of the state.Confirming the arrest to reporters on Thursday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s Public Relations Officer, disclosed that law enforcement had been tracking the suspect for the past six months.Hundeyin revealed that operatives from the Ijora Badia Division had gathered actionable intelligence on the activities of 18-year-old Olawale Odunsi, leading to his apprehension. The suspect, Hundeyin noted, was allegedly involved in numerous traffic robberies in areas such as Iganmu and Ijora under Bridge, often described by victims as a fearsome attacker sporting distinctive dreadlocks.Acting on information suggesting Odunsi and his gang were planning an operation at Iganmu under the bridge on Tuesday around 3:30 pm, operatives from the Ijora Badia Division swiftly moved in and arrested Odunsi as he emerged from his criminal hideout.Although his accomplices managed to evade capture, Odunsi was taken into custody where he confessed to his involvement in the crimes. The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
