The Nasarawa State Police Command apprehended two suspected armed robbers accused of terrorizing parts of the Ekye Development Area in Doma Local Government Area.According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the operation, conducted on Thursday night, was in response to residents’ complaints.The suspects, identified as Abdullahi Basso and Saidu Isah, were allegedly involved in weekly armed robberies along Doma-Rukubi Road, donning military attire.Acting on the complaint, operatives from Ekye Division set up an ambush at Kwanar Kare, a notorious spot along the road where armed robbers frequently strike unsuspecting road users.Abdullahi Basso and Saidu Isah, both residents of Rugan Maigari, Rukubi village, were apprehended at the scene just before executing their operation. Authorities recovered three hundred thousand naira in cash, a knife, and other items as evidence.The suspects admitted to robbing Mallam Barka of five hundred thousand naira at the same location the previous week.
