Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ibrahim Chatta faced criticism after he publicly praised his colleague Iyabo Ojo on Instagram. Chatta posted a photo of Ojo at Davido’s wedding, referring to her as a “super woman” and “Mummy Priscilla.” This gesture sparked backlash among his followers, particularly in light of the ongoing feud between Very Dark Man (VDM) and Iyabo Ojo.
The tension between VDM and Ojo escalated following Davido’s wedding, where VDM alleged that Ojo was not invited to the main ceremony but only to the after-party. In response, Ojo refuted VDM’s claims with evidence and subtly mocked him by posting a picture of a black goat wearing a gold chain.
The rift between VDM and Ojo dates back several months, originating from Ojo’s involvement in the Mohbad case. VDM had previously criticized Ojo, calling her a failure, which prompted a heated exchange where Ojo retaliated with personal insults. The conflict intensified when VDM accused Ojo of engaging in inappropriate behavior involving her daughter, while Ojo accused VDM of seeking attention and threatened legal action against him.
Chatta’s public support for Ojo amidst this controversy disappointed many of his fans, who felt he was taking sides in a divisive situation within the industry.
